Message from the Ambassador of Canada

Dear friends/Chers amis,

As Canada's Ambassador to the State of Kuwait I am very pleased that the Canadians in Kuwait (CiK) association is actively encouraging links among Canadians living and working in this beautiful and intriguing country. Le Koweït est un pays de soleil et des palmiers, loin de la neige, les montagnes et les vastes prairies du Canada.

There are more than 5000 Canadians in Kuwait. Canadians are contributing to the development of the Kuwait economy across a wide range of sectors, from the petroleum industry to education, healthcare and beyond. The CiK group cooperates closely with the Canadian Commercial Circle business association to offer opportunities for Canadians to gather socially and develop contacts and friendships that can last a lifetime.

I hope that you will participate in CiK activities. There is much to enjoy and learn for Canadians in Kuwait, and it can be particularly useful for those new to the country to meet contacts who often have many years of experience here. C'est toujours un grand défi de commencer une nouvelle vie à l'étranger, et peut-être le CiK peut vous aider.

Our Mission

We are a non-profit association organized and run by Canadian Volunteers;

     To introduce the Canadian Culture to the State of Kuwait, utilizing the talent and effort of Canadian volunteers.

     To reflect Canada’s culture “nationally and internationally” while interacting with the society and other social organizations and clubs.

     To establish a successful social foundation and strengthen the ties among the Canadian residents in the State of Kuwait.

     To celebrate/hold Canada’s national traditions and events in the State of Kuwait.

     To encourage the Canadians in Kuwait to actively participate /volunteer to support CiK activities.

      To maintain  effective and active social networking among Canadian citizens who live and work in the State of Kuwait.

     To create, develop and maintain a support group which can provide guidance to Canadian individuals upon or before their arrival to the State of Kuwait.
